报告摘要:
The assembly of molecules with covalent networks can form varied lattice structures with distinct physical and chemical properties from conventional atomic lattices. Recent synthesis of monolayer fullerene networks provides new avenues to design materials using fullerene building blocks with tunable and tailored function [1]. I will show my recent works on predicting photocatalytic performance of monolayer polymeric C60 using the state-of-the-art first principles calculations [2], which was confirmed experimentally within a few months [3]. Additionally, by varying the lattice dimension and molecular size, we can further tune their chemical and physical properties [4], addressing the stability issue of C60 monolayers [5]. I will also introduce our recent work on a variety of applications from energy storage to quantum physics using fullerene building blocks.
报告人简介:
彭博,剑桥大学卡文迪许实验室理论凝聚态组青年研究员,剑桥大学博士(2023)、复旦大学本(2016)硕(2019)。研究方向为计算凝聚态物理,包括碳纳米材料的催化和储能、拓扑量子材料、相变、热电等领域。在Physical Review Letters、Nature Communications、Science Advances和Journal of the American Chemical Society等期刊发表通讯/第一/唯一作者论文32篇,被引3200余次,其中1篇物理领域前0.1%热点论文、4篇物理/化学/材料领域前1%高被引论文。获得英国物理学会Sam Edwards毕业论文奖(每年1人,奖给理论凝聚态领域最佳博士毕业论文)、卡文迪许实验室计算物理学奖、德国林岛诺奖得主大会青年科学家前沿研究特邀报告、美国百人会英才奖、跨界创新世锦赛斯洛伐克站冠军、王大珩光学奖等。
